Reporting to the ACNC
ACNC Annual Reporting is a Legal Requirement
Charities have a legal obligation to report to the Australian Charities and Not-For-Profits Commission (ACNC). This includes annually through the Annual Information Statement (AIS).
Registered charities are required to submit an Annual Information Statement yearly in order to maintain their charity status.
The consequence of failing to meet your obligations to the ACNC could result in the organisation’s charity registration and taxation endorsements and concessions being revoked. There are also pecuniary fines that can be imposed for areas of non-compliance.
