Christmas message from the Rev. Simon Hansford

Christmas can be a time of difficulty, challenge and confrontation.

Drought continues to cripple much of NSW.

Christmas is one of the worst times for domestic violence.

We are reminded that the presence of Jesus in the world does not have an easy beginning.

If you are struggling, if, for you this season is hard, you are not alone. God is in the midst of us.

Our faith compels us to care and offer hope for everybody, especially those who are marginalised or disadvantaged.

The message of Jesus at Christmas calls for compassion in challenging times.

Family and friends give us strength. There is joy and much to celebrate because God’s love is with us in every circumstance and unites us in hope.

This Christmas we pray for our rural communities, peace in the world, kindness for the marginalised and wisdom for our leaders.
