Once you’ve spoken with a member of the UnitingRedress team and decided on an appropriate course of redress, the next step is to develop a personal redress plan.

We can help step you through this process. We can also connect you with other support services, including housing, drug and alcohol support, mental health services, education and training, and social networks/support groups.

Your personal redress plan may include the following:

  • counselling and support
  • a formal apology
  • meeting with a representative of the Uniting Church or the organisation directly related to your claim
  • seeking ex gratia payment
  • reporting your case to the Police
  • seeking legal advice.
