Employee Assistance Program
The health, safety and wellbeing of our Ministers, along with our staff, are key priorities. As part of this commitment Ministers are able to access our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) run by our external provider AssurePrograms.
The EAP is a confidential, voluntary counselling service available to all Synod employees, Ministers and their immediate family members. This independent service aims to improve health and wellbeing, and to assist with the challenges faced by our staff and Ministers in their daily lives.
The main features of the service include:
- Confidential counselling, coaching and support with an experienced Psychologist
- Appointments via face-to-face meeting, telephone, video or eCounselling
- Short term assistance with the resolution of personal and/or work-related challenges
- Access to other services such as legal advice, financial counselling, nutrition advice
